List of Most Popular War Movies in Hollywood

Most modern war movies are moving and show the strength of character of their protagonist. Here Neyouth publishes a list of most popular war movies we have seen in recent times.
Schindler's List
1. Schindler’s List: This legendary movie has a running time of three hours. Surprisingly, you wont even notice how time flies when you watch this film. It is an amazing movie of the Nazi cruelty of Jews and the intellectual spirit of a war time entrepreneur. The main role is played by the extremely talented Liam Neeson. Schindler’s List is directed by Steven Spielberg and was critically approved. The movie is black and white, but you won’t notice that much as the strong story carries you to the power packed performance by Liam Neeson. Schindler’s List is a must watch.
2. Saving Private Ryan: A touching war movie starring Tom Hanks. It was directed by Steven Spielberg. Matt Damon is another star you will see in this movie. Saving Private Ryan is based on the World War 2 theme. The tone and quality of this movie is such that it only beautifies the story but shows an aesthetic exposure of the period in which the movie is set.
3. Black Hawk Down: An action packed war film Black Hawk Down is about the American peace keeping efforts in Mogadishu. The clipping of a chopper known as Black Hawk during an operation forces the American Army to enter hard-core civil strife areas under minimum protection. Black Hawk Down also stars Orlando Bloom.
4. No Man’s Land: This movie is a war movie with a difference. No Man’s Land contains oodles of dark irony and tragic comedy. A refreshing modification in the war genre of the movie. It is a must watch. No Man’s Land also won the Best Foreign Film at the Academy awards.

5. Enemy at the Gates: Enemy at the Gates is a movie based on the epic battle of Stalingrad. Battle of Stalingrad took place between the Russian Red army and the Nazi’s. It is noted as the most violent battle in history with casualties to the total of 4 million. Eventually, they stopped keeping count. Enemy at the Gates is another great war movie. Starring Jude Law, it is popular among all war movie lovers.
