WorldFirst Formula 3 racing car- Watchout!
Friday, November 6th, 2009If reading ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ made your mouth water, you’d better strap on a muzzle before trying to drive this chocolaty beauty!
The ‘Worldfirst’ racer boasts of a sturdy body built completely of recycled rubbish. The baby of proud engineers of the University of Warwick was once a pile of scrap doled out by the aviation industry mixed with an assortment of used plastic bottles and plant fibers. Maybe they took the story of the carrot leading the donkey a bit too seriously! The steering wheel is actually made out of waste left over from juiced carrots and other root veggies. The comfy seats are actually flax fibers and soya bean oil foam. The 230bhp recycled aluminium engine is going to be the victim of extreme envy, gorging on bio fuel made up of chocolate waste and fermented wine!
‘Worldfirst’ promises to race at 145 mph. Not only is it sure to make heads turn by its snazzy looks, but its also sure to generate many a gasps by accelerating upto 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds. However, only time can tell whether or not it will live upto its expectations.
The ‘WorldFirst Formula 3 racing car’ will be up for display in several races across Europe.
